May Half Term at Lewes Castle - Knights and Castles

Sun 24 May - Sun 31 May

All activities are included with general admission, making it the perfect family day out this half term. Daily 10am - 5pm

Step into the world of knights and chivalry this May Half Term at Lewes Castle with a programme of family-friendly activities inspired by the age of knights. Young visitors can take on the Knight’s Shield Trail, exploring the castle grounds in search of hidden shields. And throughout the week, children can also train to become a knight by completing fun challenges around the castle. Discover your knightly name, try your hand at sword skills, dress the part, and learn what it takes to ride into battle. Complete the activities to earn your place among the castle’s newest knights.

Storytelling sessions with Trevor will bring myths, legends and traditional tales to life in the atmospheric surroundings of the castle on 25 May, with an additional session at Anne of Cleves House on 27 May.

On 31 May, the Sussex Medieval Society will be on site, offering a fascinating glimpse into medieval life with living history displays and demonstrations.
