Nestled in the heart of the East Surrey countryside, we are proud to showcase the finest collection of native wildlife in Britain, featuring over 40 different species, from tiny harvest mice to magnificent red deer.

Visitor Centre Access: The Visitor Centre, which houses the admission desk, coffee shop, and gift shop, is located on the ground level. The entrance features double doors with a ramped threshold, ensuring easy access without steps.

Essential Carer Concession: Carers assisting wheelchair users are admitted free of charge. Other essential carers may also enter for free upon presenting a letter or card that verifies their registered carer status.

Wheelchair Use: Visitors are welcome to bring their own wheelchairs and electric buggies for use at the Centre. We also have one manual wheelchair available for loan at no charge. Please call in advance to check availability, as bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Internal Areas: All internal areas, including the Visitor Centre, The Barn, The Hedgerow, and Lecture Theatre, are on ground level and feature step-free access.

We offer five designated disabled parking spaces conveniently located close to the Visitor Centre for easy access.

A unisex accessible toilet is located outside the Coffee Shop, featuring ramped access for convenience. This facility includes a horizontal handrail to the left of the toilet and a vertical handrail to the right. Additional vertical handrails are provided next to the basin and hand towel dispenser. The toilet also features a baby changing unit for added convenience.

Outdoors
  • Paths

External Areas: The outdoor areas of the Centre feature step-free access, with smooth tarmac paths and two wooden boardwalks for easy navigation. While the areas immediately surrounding the animal enclosures are gravel, visitors can enjoy good views of the animals from the tarmac path.

Please note that the two picnic areas are on grass. The picnic area located in front of the Visitor Centre has a steep gravel path, making it inaccessible by wheelchair.
