Kids Trail Oscar and the Dawn Chorus

Sat 24 May - Sun 1 Jun

This May half term enjoy an interactive trail connecting children to nature

As you follow the story, meet Oscar’s feathered friends within the storyboards – including Bella the Blackbird, Wally the Woodpecker, and Fiona the Finch, as each bird auditions for a place in his magical morning choir.

Along the way, sing like the rain, tap out a rhythm, and chirp your way through the Garden as you help Oscar complete his quest. Each stop invites little ones to take part in playful challenges to spark creativity and a love for nature.

The trail is perfect for children aged 3 to 8 years

Most paths in the formal Garden are step-free and accessible to those with restricted mobility. Gentle slopes, hard surfaces and gravel paths allow good wheelchair access and mobility maps are available from Visitor Reception.

There are plenty of benches located around the Garden for relaxing and taking in the sights should you want to stop for a rest.

The Parkland and Woodland have naturally uneven terrain making them unsuitable for wheelchairs.

There are a limited number of standard and all-terrain wheelchairs available to borrow from Visitor Reception. If you’d like to reserve one ahead of your visit please ring 01444 450326.
