Descend into Smugglers Adventure to visit Father Christmas and Mrs Claus for one weekend only!

Explore the underground caves, lit up for the festive season, before discovering Father Christmas’ magical grotto.

Little ones can write their Christmas wishlists in the illuminated caves, hand them directly to Father Christmas, and snap a photo to capture the memory. A truly one-of-a-kind Xmas memory!

About Smugglers Adventure

Take a journey back in time to uncover the deep and dark secrets of the smugglers. Notorious smuggler Hairy Jack will lead you through acres of hidden underground caverns, covert passages, and unknown tunnels on a curious voyage. You’ll be greeted by over 70 life-sized smuggler characters who will open your eyes to the dangerous and often blood-thirsty smuggling lifestyle. Meet historic pirates, smugglers, and bootleggers who used these underground hideaways to stash their contraband

There are several sets of steps (with a handrail) to get into the attraction and reduced lighting, steep slopes, low tunnels and uneven floors. Light-weight or foldable wheelchairs should not be a problem in the caves, as long as the person is able to get down the initial steps to the entrance. Please note the caves may not be accessible to mobility scooters and motorised wheelchairs

There is no accessible toilet within the caves. There is a Changing Places toilet about 0.3 mile away near Jerwood Gallery, with access via the on-site attendant. Find the nearest Changing places toilet 

There is a baby changing mat in the ladies’ toilets which are halfway through caves

Flashing lights are only at the photo booth and no where else
