Exotic Spots Summer Trail

Sat 20 Jul - Sun 1 Sep

Between 10 AM and 5PM daily.

This summer, follow our free family trail to discover six big and beautiful animals from around the world. Each one is hanging out near its favourite exotic tree or plant.

From monkeys in palm trees to anteaters ambling past giant gunneras, at each exotic spot you’ll find amazing stories about the plants, animals and awesome habitats they share in the wild.

Please note, we run dog free Saturday mornings in the garden until 1pm. Dog walkers are welcome to enjoy East Park and the Parkland during this time.

About National Trust - Sheffield Park and Garden

Sheffield Park and Garden is a family-friendly venue offering a shop, cafe with children's lunch boxes, free parking, and buggy and wheelchair friendly paths. Family events and trails are on throughout the year - check our website for details.

The elegant landscaped gardens at Sheffield Park are alive with colour and wildlife. Four grand lakes are the heart of the garden surrounded by bold planting, winding paths, majestic trees, and dappled glades. Widely regarded as a horticultural masterpiece, the garden has been influenced through the work of ‘Capability’ Brown, Humphry Repton, and Arthur Soames, the late owner. The Grade I listed garden and encircling parkland and woodland offers an escape into nature, whatever the season (or weather). There is nothing like being outside to spark adventure and imagination.
