About

All local authorities in England have a duty to keep a children’s disability register.

The register is a list of children and young people in East Sussex who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Previously, the register in East Sussex was known as the Children’s Disability Register.

It is now known as “i-go: The Children and Young People’s Additional Needs Register.”

Feedback identified a need to change the name to be more representative and inclusive. We worked closely with parents, carers and young people to find the right name together.

i-go includes a discount card to improve access to leisure activities for families in East Sussex.

When a child or young person is registered on i-go, they will receive an i-go card.

i-go is voluntary, so you or your child don’t have to register. Although, there are many long-term benefits for you, your family and all other SEND families across East Sussex if you join i-go.

Why should I register?

There are many great reasons to join i-go: The Children and Young People’s Additional Needs Register.

The top 3 benefits of joining the register include:

  1. Improved and Targeted Services
The information from i-go helps our teams build a clearer picture about the need for certain services. We use this information to provide better and more targeted services for families.
  2. Exclusive Access to over 100 Offers and Discounts
Families who are on i-go have access to all the available discounts from i-go partners. i-go currently gives cardholders access to over 100 offers. The offers include discounts for eating out, activities, leisure and more.
  3. Have Your Voice Heard
Being on i-go is an easy way to get involved with feedback and evaluations. You don't have to get involved, but being on i-go makes it easier for you to help us help your family in a more impactful way.

i-go is continuously growing and improving, so the benefits of joining i-go will continue to develop as well.
