Morning Explorer at Lewes Castle - Additional Needs Sessions Mondays During School Holidays

A quiet hour exclusively for families with additional needs to explore Lewes Castle and Museum, learn about its medieval past and have a go at a range of Medieval Monday activities in a relaxed environment. There are games, crafts, dressing up, as well as sensory activities, and a trained educational team on hand to support with a range of suitable activities. All ages welcome. 

The sessions usually run every Monday 10am to 11am during school holidays, but please check the website before setting off

Access to the session is included in admission to the whole site.

One carer goes free when accompanying an i-go card holder. Just bring your card along with you on the day to validate the offer, no pre-booking required for accompanying carer

Access to the museum: there is a small flight of steps down to the ground floor galleries and another, larger, flight up to those on the first floor. Due to the historic nature of the building there is no lift.

The historic nature of the castle site means access is limited to ground level for anyone who has difficulty walking. There is an accessible pavilion in the Gun Garden with panels depicting the panorama visible from the top of the keep.
