Father Christmas at The Lavender Line

Every child will receive a present, when meeting Father Christmas on an extended train ride and a ride on Riley's Miniature Railway. Accompanying adults will receive a mince pie ad a mug of tea or coffee in our tea room along with and extended train ride. 

Father Christmas trains will run at: 11 am, 12 pm, 1.30 pm, 2.30 pm, 3.30 pm

  • Pre-booking is essential.
  • Extra rides can be paid for on Riley's.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Riley's Miniature Railway will be open subject to weather conditions.

About Lavender Line Railway, Isfield

The Lavender Line Railway line offers a two mile round trip through the beautiful Sussex countryside, hauled by either a heritage diesel or steam locomotive. Accessibility

The station is largely step free and there are ramps and steps for extra assistance onto the trains. 
Currently there is no wheelchair access to the steam trains, most diesel services are accessible but please contact the Lavender Line in advance to ensure the train on the day you wish to visit is suitable.

Designated spaces near main entrance, on special event days the access may be via the adjacent pub car park - please ask for assistance.

There is a small step (about 5-10cm) to access the toilet.

Queues occur mainly on special event days. If queuing is difficult please contact the Lavender Line in advance to make arrangements.

The train engines can be noisy and Gala Days can get busy.

Some trains may have a flashing warning light.

There may be characters in costume at special events and at Christmas, call ahead for information.
